Bundy Memorial Schoolhous Ottawa Pillow
The school was built in 1855, originally painted white, stood 1/2 mile north of Ransom and just east of the Route 170 curve. It was known as Lincoln Lane School and later Redmond School No. 62. It closed in 1932.
The school was purchased by Streator banker Edgar J. Bundy. After his death, his sister donated to the Ottawa the Elementary School District and it was named the Edgar J. Bundy Memorial School. The building was located on the grounds of old Central School, on the banks of the river, where the Central School was once located. In 2011, the Bundy school was moved to the new site of Central School on McKinley Rd.
The photograph of the school used for the pillow was taken by local photographer, John Frangoulis when the school was located by the river.
