Pyrite Coffin Necklace

One copper electroformed Pyrite Coffin complete on a 20" soldered gunmetal chain. Gunmetal patina coffin. Many of these coffins have colorful Chalcopyrite. Chalcopyrite, also known as Peacock Ore, has lovely iridescent green, blue, pink, purple, and gold colors that resemble the vibrant feathers of a peacock. The colors of Chalcopyrite come from the oxidation of copper and iron in the stone. Pyrite's metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname of fool's gold. Pyrite is said to be a protective and shielding stone, excellent to wear as an amulet to deflect harm and danger.
